This website is the place where Dr Peter Wardle, an Archaeologist and Architectural Historian, makes available his photographs and work on the parish churches of England.
This work started as background research to my work on redundant churches. A few years later I found I had photographed getting on for a thousand Parish Churches.
The photographs may be downloaded for any non-commercial research except:
- Heritage Statements and Statements of Significance and similar. This is what I do for a living and if you need one it will be cost effective to employ us!
- Academic Research at Masters level and above - please write to me - the website is only about 2% of the collection
